Mindy Jones
Clinical Intern
As a clinician focused on adolescent behavioral and academic challenges, I specialize in helping teens and their families address the issues that often arise during these critical years. From poor grades and motivation struggles to anxiety, defiance, and social pressures, I work with adolescents to identify the root causes and build strategies for lasting improvement.
Parents often feel overwhelmed by constant conflict, emotional outbursts, or their teen's refusal to follow household rules. I provide practical, evidence-based tools to help parents regain control and improve communication with their teens, whether you're dealing with school performance, behavior at home, or emotional well-being.Â
I also work closely with parents to address the complexities of modern parenting, including setting boundaries, managing screen time, navigating peer influence, and fostering responsibility. My goal is to empower both teens and their families to create a more harmonious and cooperative home environment.
With a strong foundation in Trauma-Informed Care, I approach every session with the understanding that many adolescent behaviors stem from deeper emotional struggles. By fostering open communication and offering nonjudgmental support, I help families create lasting change that benefits both teens and their parents.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston Main Campus. I am a Clinical Intern under the supervision of Lorrianne Morrow, LPC-S.
